Only up from here: Finding Joy in Simple Connections

Only up from here: Finding Joy in Simple Connections

Helloooo :)

It's been a while! It's easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of responsibilities, deadlines, and commitments. As I navigate through my late 20s, my social life went through a transformative phase, blooming with new friendships and meaningful interactions.

It's incredible how the people I meet often share similar values and hobbies, yet they also respect differences of opinion. These interactions naturally lead to meaningful conversations, especially when we discuss our aspirations and goals before entering our 30's. Aspirations and goals aside, what makes us happy?

Navigating adult friendships can be tricky, but I must say, I'm constantly amazed by the depth and variety of conversations we share. One moment, we're contemplating alternate career paths, wondering what life would be like if we pursued something different! Sometimes we also talk about things that aren't so perfect in life, because being positive all the time isn't a good thing you know? We are human, and we should freely express that.

It's fascinating how these discussions often lead to dreams of opening our own coffee shops, dessert cafes, becoming a fitness instructor or even boba tea spots. It's refreshing to hear about things other than wanting to be promoted or climb the ladder, but more so prioritizing our own happiness & health.

It made me really happy, because I finally had the guts to start THIS shop. This shop is where I can fully express my identity so truthfully and a story of resilience. Being laid off pushed me out of the comfort zone to start something where I will be super happy in working on. I often fantasize about if it takes off in the future, I would be so happy. Even if it doesn't, I'd be super happy to KEEP IT GOING haha.

It's a year of prioritizing my health, myself and my happiness. I hope you are doing the same thing too!

Love,

Annie
